not a single point missed. the fact that every change I have seen to the sisters section (despite them being very few) have only ever been initiated or done by sisters is honestly disgraceful. we deserve the right to worship within the house of Allah as much as any man! 🤍

this topic is so close to my heart bec i know how important it is to have female prayer space in the masjid.

the kind of focus and energy i feel in my salah when it’s behind an imam in congregation is unmatched! 🤍🤍

YESSSS for me the collective and vibrating "Aaaaameen" after al-fatihah is always so beauuutiful 🥹🥹 i go "ohhh i love these people around me even tho we're strangers alhamdulillah we are praying here together also thank you for sharing your prayer mat with me" 🤍🥹

On the other hand, when you're in a separate room, sometimes the sound system acts up then the imam's Allahu Akbar doesn't transmit to the ladies' area so we're there in prolonged silence during prayer like ummm has the imam moved on? No? Not yet? 🥲🥲

It's just not the same as praying right behind them y'know sighhhh

i get you completely, the collective ‘ameen’ gives me goosebumps too🥹and yes totally agree, the silence and disconnect can be so frustrating sometimes

but alhamdulillah, my local mosque is quite well-designed so i actually enjoy the separate space. it has that quiet privacy, but i can still see the imam: best of both worlds honestly. i love being able to just sit there for hours, recite, reflect, have convos… it feels like a little sanctuary.🤍
